It’s important to notify various institutions of the death of your loved one and to make changes to various accounts, policies, etc. Many people find it helpful to have close friends or family members help with these tasks.

As you go through these steps, you’ll find that you’ll need to provide many institutions with certified copies of the death certificate. Sinai can take care of this for you. While we will do everything possible to get them to you promptly, counties are responsible for issuing them, and we have no control over their timing.
